New Wisdom

"The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence" ~ Jiddu Krishnamurthi

It is an intrinsic aspect of every human being to possess the need to judge, to categorize, and to put a label on what it is they think, see, or experience. This instinctual drive to interpret and evaluate the world around us is deeply rooted in our psychology, serving as a mechanism for making sense of the complexities of life. As social creatures, we thrive on communication, and it is often through the act of sharing our thoughts and opinions that we connect with others.

The height of communication lies in our ability to relate notions that are new to us or concepts that we have never before understood. This process of discovery is not only intellectually stimulating but also emotionally fulfilling, as it fosters a sense of belonging and shared understanding within our communities.

The excitement that accompanies the acquisition of new knowledge is palpable; we all harbor a desire to be among the first to know something novel, to be the bearers of fresh insights that can spark conversations and inspire change.

However, amidst this eagerness, I find myself reminded of the profound power of silent intention. There exists a delicate balance between the urge to vocalize our thoughts and the wisdom of knowing when to speak something into existence or, conversely, when to remain still and introspective with my own thoughts.

This internal dialogue often leads to deeper self-awareness and a more thoughtful approach to the interactions we have with others. In moments of silence, we can reflect, process, and cultivate our ideas before sharing them, allowing for a more meaningful and impactful contribution to the discourse around us.

Thus, while the drive to judge and label is an inherent part of our nature, it is equally important to recognize the value of pausing, contemplating, and choosing our words carefully, for they hold the power to shape our reality and influence those around us.
